Grape Gas Strain

Thinking about trying out the new Grape Gas Strain? Well, stop right there. Do not touch the strain unless you read this article. I have painstakingly gone through all the details and have brought forth all the things that you should know before laying your hands on this strain.

Overview Of The Grape Gas Strain

Overview Of The Grape Gas Strain

Can you pass the gas? Hold on, I meant the Grape Gas strain. Grape Gas, or as I like to call it, GG, is an amazing strain that every skunk lover should try at least once. Trust me when I say this: it will rock your world as it did mine.

The GG strain is one of the most celebrated 50-50 hybrids in existence. The unique thing about 50-50 strains is that they are perfect for varied usages. The Grape Gas strain was first brought to the cannabis scene by True Canna Genetics. Users often confuse this strain with the Grape Gasoline strain by Compound Genetics.

The Grape Gas strain is one of the most unique hybrid strains due to its proportionate clear split between sativa and indica ratios. The strain boasts a THC range between 15% to 23%, along with a 1% CBD level.

However, this is just surficial information. Let us dive right in to look at the strain closely and more diligently.

Genetic Mapping Of Grape Gas Strain

Genetic Mapping Of Grape Gas Strain

Understanding the correct genetic lineage is very important when it comes to understanding a strain. How else can you assess and try to make sense of the characteristics that it can show in the long run?

The Grape Gas strain is a unique specimen. I can personally say that I have never ‘reviewed’ anything like this strain in a while. I think that the strain’s complex genetics is what makes this strain so unique in all senses of the word.

The internet seems to be divided on the actual lineage of the strain. Some believe that it is a three-way genetic frenzy between the OG Chem, The Truth, and The Grand Daddy Purple strain. The rest of the internet believes that the strain is a hybrid between Jet Fuel Gelato and Grape Pie. I personally think that the latter combination is the true genetic mapping of the strain.

Here is a detailed rundown of individual parent strains of the Grape Gas strain so that you can assess where the strain got its genetic wealth.

Grape Pie

The prominent Grape Pie strain is probably one of the best Indica-dominant strains in existence. Similar to its offspring, the Graoe Pie strain is also a hybrid strain of two very prominent strains named Cherry Pie and Grape Stomper.

Grape Pie is a 70% indica and 30% sativa. Subsequently, some phenotype of the strain boasts around 25% THC content. Therefore, couch locking is a very real and potent phenomenon after consuming this strain for the first time.

Apart from its potency, the strain is also very popular for its flavor and aroma profile. The strain boasts an amazing sweet yet spicy flavor profile that can even be found in the Grape Strain.

Jet Fuel Gelato

The next parent strain of the iconic Graoe gas strain is the Jet Fuel Gelato strain. It was created after crossing two iconic strains, namely the Jet Fuel and Hi-Octane. Unlike Grape Pie, Jet Fuel Gelato is a perfect 50-50 hybrid. And it is understandable where the Grape Gas strain got its sativa-indica ratio from.

Users claim that Jet Fuel Gelato functions exactly how you would expect a jet plane to function. The effects of the strain come in hard and fast. In a matter of minutes, you will feel the effects of the strain taking over your senses. The THC levels of the strain range from 23% THC to 29% THC. Therefore, expect some potent couch locking.

Unlike its name, the strain has a remarkable flavor profile that is reminiscent of fruity strains like the Apple Fritter strain and Sunset Sherbet. Furthermore, the strain is also termed as one of the strongest weeds in existence.

Characteristics Of Grape Gas Strain

Characteristics Of Grape Gas Strain

Regardless of the genetics, a strain is as good as its characteristics. Therefore, I think it is my onus to look at the different characteristics of the strain in order to understand what to expect.

Keeping this in mind, I have taken my time to discuss four primary characteristics of the strain. These include terpene profile, aroma,  flavor, and appearance. Assessing these four qualities will help you understand what sets this strain apart from most other strains.

Terpene Profile

The Grape gas strain is known to host several dominant terpenes These terpenes dictate several factors regarding the strain, like its flavoring, aroma, effects, etc. Hence, these terpenes should be studied separately in order to understand their influences. Some of the most dominant terpenes of the Grape Gas strain include:

  • Myrcene: This terpene is primarily found in grapes and is known to have calming effects on the human psyche.
  • Caryophyllene: This is the second-most dominant terpene found in the Grape Gas strain. Researchers claim that the strain adds spiciness to the strain.
  • Limonene: Limonene is the third-most prominent terpene of the Grape Gas strain. Limonene is primarily found in citrus fruits and strains like the Lemonade strain or the Lemon Drop Strain.

These three terpenes decide several factors of the GG strain.

Aroma

Apart from its potency, the strain is also famous for its flavoring and aroma. In fact, this strain has a very unique aroma that can be best explained as the best of both worlds. I believe this is the perfect result of two different lineages working in synergy.

The very first thing I noticed about this strain was its aroma. The general smell of the strain can be best explained as a blend of a fruity aroma with a sort of diesel-ish undertone.  Hence, I was very pleasantly surprised as I HATE sweet-smelling weed. The general aroma of the strain made me think about my favorite strain of all time, the Sour-Diesel strain.

Therefore, the Grape gas strain was a unique experience when it came to the general aroma profile of the strain.

Flavor

The flavor profile of the strain was not too different from its aroma. I can safely say that the GG strain smells and tastes exactly how I imagined it to be. However, I felt that the strain shifted its flavor profile with each swig.

As soon as I took my first swig of the strain, my throat was filled with a sour and gassy flavor profile. However, the flavor gradually shifted to spicy grape. In fact, this strain is perfect for people who like shifting flavors.

Meanwhile, my partner thinks that the strain tastes more like spicy lemons than spicy strawberries. Hence, I inferred that the strain has a varied flavor profile that needs to be looked at from different angles.

In my opinion, everyone can try this strain once because its general flavor profile is very fluid and can interest a whole range of populations.

Appearance

Appearance is probably the least important thing for hardcore pot enthusiasts. Howevevr, I like my cannabis to look good and have some aesthetic value to it. I mean, what is the harm in consuming a pretty nug of weed?

As soon as you lay your eyes on the strain, you will note that the buds look exactly like grapes. Subsequently, the buds have a hint of purple hue to them. As a result, users might confuse it with the iconic Purple Haze strain

Furthermore, the bud is also covered with fine orange hairs called pistils, akin to how saffron looks. Subsequently, the strain is riddled with chunky trichome crystals that make the strain seem more sugary and delectable. In my opinion, the GG strain is one of the best-looking strains of recent times.

Effects & Usages Of Grape Gas Strain

Effects & Usages Of Grape Gas Strain

Consuming cannabis is all about feeling the cannabis doing its magic. Take my word for it: the strain worked its magic pretty well. I have always been a fan of 50-50 strains. As a result, I had a fair idea of what I was getting myself into. However, nothing could have prepared me for what was about to come next. I am sorry if that sounded more ominous than what I intended.

While reviewing this amazing strain, I realized my limitations. It is not a strain that you should underestimate. Grape Gas strain is 50% sativa and 50% Indica. As a result, the strain is known to provide the best of sativa as well as indica high.

The strain made me feel sedated enough to drop my inhibitions. However, it also kept me alert enough to be creative and make decisions. While ‘reviewing’ with my partner, both of us confirmed that the high can be easily divided into two stages.

The first stage is all about the mind high, and the second stage is about the body high. The whole experience lasted for around 2 hours. I also felt that the strain helped me become more mellow than usual. This is the sativa side of things working its magic. But the strain also made me feel sleepy at the end of the whole thing.

Medicinal Properties

Grape Gas is a unique strain that demonstrates sativa as well as indica properties. As a result, I believe that the strain has a good potential to be used as medical cannabis. This is primarily because of the strain’s versatile genetic mapping and properties.

The strain produces potent sedative effects on the human psyche. Hence, people who are suffering from ailments like anxiety, paranoia, insomnia, anorexia, chronic or acute pain, etc., can find this strain helpful.

Subsequently, the sativa side of the strain can help people collect or center their thoughts. Hence, people who suffer from conditions like ADHD and OCD will be able to seek help from this strain.

Then again, I am not a doctor. So, you must only take advice from a legitimate medical practitioner before you start treating yourself with cannabis.

Recreational Usage

I have been ‘reviewing’ this cannabis for a while. As a result, I have realized that this is a perfect strain to deal with mid-week blues. The strain is quite potent. However, it never made me feel encumbered.

In other words, I think this is a perfect strain for wake-and-bake sessions. The sativa side will clear your mind and will prepare you for the day. However, the indica side of things can make you a little woozy. Hence, you need to tackle the strain in moderation for the best effect.

Moreover, the strain is also perfect for socializing. I am an introverted person who takes time to socialize. However, this strain enabled me to drop any sort of inhibition and helped me socialize with ease. This is because the strain has the capability to de-clutter the mind and help engage in more organic conversations.

I usually include my partner while ‘reviewing’ any of the strains I come across. My partner claimed that the strain helped her. According to her, the strain helped her focus on her work and even enabled her to come up with potent solutions to tackle certain problems.

Side Effects

Even though my experience with the Grape gas strain was mostly good, I feel that there were certain pitfalls. The strain has around 23% THC. This means the strain can be a little too much to handle at times. In fact, IO also felt that the strain had a darker side to it. This made me scour the internet to understand the pitfalls of this strain.

  • Paranoia
  • Loss of motor function
  • Dizziness
  • Breathing problems
  • Red eyes
  • Dry mouth
  • Dehydration
  • Temporary amnesia
  • Greenout episodes

The Final Note

With that, I have reached the very end of my article, reviewing the iconic Graope Gas strain that has taken over the cannabis community across America. While the strain might have some pitfalls, it is certainly one of the most unique strains of cannabis out there. Keep following our page for more cannabis-related content.
