How To Make CBD Butter?

Making CBD butter is quite simple. You just need the right ingredients. The process of mankind CBD butter will depend on the type of CBD product you will use.

However, we advise people to use CBD oil as it has already been extracted from and is safe for consumption. On the other hand, using Hemp flowers will take a little longer to prepare the same.

Ingredients & Tools

  • CBD oil or Hemp (<=0.3% THC).
  • Unsalted butter.
  • Baking pan (in case of Hemp).
  • Steel pot.
  • Cheesecloth.
  • Container to store final product.

Step 1: Extraction Of CBD

Extraction Of CBD

If you are using CBD oil, jump to Step 3. However, if you are using Hemp or CBD plant, the first step is to bring it thoroughly to increase the surface area. This will help you get the most out of the CBD extraction process.

Step 2: Decarboxylation

This process involves heating the Hemp to boiling point to extract CBD from the Hemp. The process of heating and extracting CBD is called Decarboxylations.

Step 3: Mixing Unsalted Butter With Hemp Or CBD Oil

Put a pan on the stove and add butter to it. When the butter starts melting, add grounded Hemp or CBD oil.

Note: Ensure that you are dealing with this process on low heat. Low heat ensures that butter does not end up getting a bad taste.

Step 4: Simmer The Mixture

Let the mixture simmer for at least 4 hours for the Hemp grounded flower or 10 minutes for CBD oil. Keep stirring during heat processing so that CBD does not burn.

Step 5: Add Water

There will be times when you will find that water is needed. Do not hesitate to add water. Adding water will help you regulate the temperature of the mixture. And restrict the whole thing from burning to crisp.

Step 6: Let It Cool At Room Temperature

Once the simmering process is completed, remove the pan from the heat and let the mixture cool at room temperature. Now use the cheesecloth and begin straining the whole mixture.

Step 7: Refrigerate The Mixture

Once you have drained out excess water and have filtered butter, the end product will be your CBD butter. Refrigerate it to solidify. It can take several hours, so it is better you keep CBD butter in the refrigerator at night.

End Of Process

All done! The next morning you are opening your refrigerator, you will have your own CBD butter. You can use it to make your favorite food. CBD butter will last up to two months in the refrigerator and six months in a freezer.
